Meet the Founders
Summary
Bryan is a seasoned language industry veteran with a programmer analyst degree. He started his career in web application development while residing in Europe, exposing him to the necessity of application localization.
Upon his return to North America, Bryan began working with a language service provider and developed a web-based in-house project management system in addition to evaluating processes and technology.
From there, he jumped back and forth from the service side of the industry managing marketing and sales and the tech side of the industry for such tech providers as SDL (now RWS), Beetext, MemoQ and most recently Smartcat.
Accomplishments
In every role Bryan occupied, improvements to processes, and increases in revenue were obtained, often in short time frames and under challenging circumstances. Most notably increasing an LSP annual revenue from $700K to $2.4MM in 4 years, while increasing profitability.
His in-depth exposure to both sides of the industry helped shape his understanding of typical pitfalls and issues that occur on both sides. He has occupied Board of Director roles for industry associations.
Bryan created his own Language Service Provider in 2016, which was sold in 2021 after achieving ~$1MM in revenue.
Summary
Angelo grew up working summers in the language industry until college, when he went to study Business and eventually complete a PhD in Statistics.
After starting his own international non-profit and having a brief stint as a management consultant to pharmaceutical companies, he returned to the language industry to be general manager and CEO for 10 years. During that time he noticed a severe lack of common technologies found in other industries, hundreds of millions of dollars in misallocated investments, and a large multi billion dollar opportunity to modernize the language industry and future proof it with innovations in artificial intelligence.
The last several years have seen him gathering data and consulting with industry experts on the feasibility and optimal business strategy for Zin Global.
